Aalborg CSP A/S develops and supplies innovative green solutions. The company supplies among other things Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) solutions, thermal high and low temperature integrated systems with high efficiency, innovative solutions and solves technical challenges in terms of design, storage, and optimization. Aalborg CSP has developed from being a Danish engineering company to becoming a player on the international contracting market.

Today, the company constitutes an independent technology developer, who is globally recognized for designing high quality boiler and technology solutions for thermal solar plants and storage solutions. The projects vary from DKK 5-10M and up to DKK 250M and the company counts over 60 dedicated employees, out of which the majority work out of the headquarters in Aalborg.

Due to an increased order intake, we are looking to for a dedicated and highly organized candidate to join our team in Seville, Spain as a Project Engineer. The successful candidate will under supervision of a Project Manager contribute to EU projects (H2020/HORIZON) in the fields of energy systems and concentrated solar power technologies, with a great emphasis in storage solutions. The majority of the tasks are conducted in close coordination and collaboration with the remaining team members.

As Project Engineer your primary responsibilities will be:

  • To prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering tasks.
  • To prepare and review engineering deliverables related to EU project tasks, as well as initiate appropriate corrective actions. Prepare and maintain follow-up tables as tools for monitoring of task progress.
  • To cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
  • To interact with other Task Leaders and Project Coordinator to interpret their needs and requirements needed to fulfill those tasks.
  • In the role of Working Package leader, to coordinate multicultural teams to achieve goals defined in the DoA document.
  • To attend General Assembly meetings in different European cities.
  • To monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
  • To cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.

In order to comply with the responsibilities, the following key competencies are required:

  • Proven working experience as Project Engineer.
  • Reporting skills; including advanced MS Office skills.
  • Familiarity with R&D projects and/or EU projects (RIA and IA).
  • Knowledge of rules, regulations and best practices and performance standards.
  • Knowledge of thermal processes, integrated energy systems, concentrated solar energy, thermodynamic cycles (Rankine, Brayton, etc.), heat transfer processes, machinery, hydraulic and other systems, and their components.
  • Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
  • Task management and supervision skills.
  • Decision making ability and leadership skills.
  • Time management and organization skills.
  • English level: C1.
