Aalborg CSP designed and supplied the steam generating equipment for a prototype CSP system based on Fresnel technology.
CSP Fresnel prototype facility
The goal with this prototype facility was to prove that it was possible to produce live steam at 100 bar directly in the solar field. The system circulates water/steam under high pressure in the receiver pipes. The water/steam is constantly heated up by the sunlight, which is being concentrated on the pipes by series of mirrors.
The system was a front-runner for a series of new facilities with this technology, which provides the French population with environmental friendly energy and power.
