About Gate2GreenFuels

Gate2GreenFuels is a test site under the CO2Vision initiative in Northern Denmark. Located at the Port of Aalborg, it operates as a Living Lab where existing and new technologies across the CO₂ value chain can be validated in a complete Power-to-X system, from CO₂ handling to the production of fuels based on methanol.

The challenge

Turning captured CO₂ into green fuels requires a complete value chain that works in practice. Mapping and optimising the CO₂ footprint across that chain is essential to making the technologies scale.

Our role

Aalborg CSP contributes energy system integration, balance-of-plant analysis and carbon footprint modelling, alongside partners including Aalborg University, Port of Aalborg, Technological Institute, European Energy, Blue World Technologies, Circle K, Evida and Aalborg Portland.
