As part of the main conference agenda, Morten Vang Bobach, Product Manager and Senior Engineer at Aalborg CSP, will demonstrate the benefits of implementing Pit Thermal Energy Storage (PTES) systems into district heating and cooling systems. As part of his presentation Mr. Bobach will likewise discuss the advantages of combining PTES with heat pumps. His presentation is titled “Multi-purpose Pit Thermal Energy Storage in combination with heat pumps”.

Our Technical Lead Andreas Zourrelis will demonstrate how heat pump integration can optimize the efficiency of a local Danish district heating plant’s existing solar-thermal plant. His presentation titled “Optimizing efficiency of district heating supply with intelligent solar and heat pump integration” is part of the poster session taking place on the second day of the conference.
