Monday 1 November the management behind BK Engineering and BK Aalborg (Aalborg CSP) was elected the winner of "Årets Ejerleder 2010 i region Nordjylland" (Owner-management of the year 2010 in North Jutland, Denmark). On Monday 8 November the winners from the different Danish regions were gathered at the national awards, and here the management of BK Engineering / BK Aalborg was voted Denmark's top owner-managed company of 2010.

At the regional awards, the jury described how BK Engineering / BK Aalborg had created a top owner-managed business with dedication, innovative leadership and sound business sense.

At the national awards, the jury informed that globalization, green energy, innovation, export potential, staff management and social responsibility had been the most important criteria to win this title. To win this title, is a great acknowledgement for BK Engineering / BK Aalborg. The company has worked hard and fought its way through the financial crisis with profits and an enormous growth.

BK Engineering is primarily a supplier of engineering work to BK Aalborg that is known worldwide for its supplies of boiler systems for solar plants. From 1 January 2011, these two companies will merge under the name Aalborg CSP A/S. CSP stands for "Concentrated Solar Power", which is the technical term for the type of solar power that the company works with.

In addition, BK Engineering provides engineering services to the Danish Defence and to major energy facilities.

Besides the title Owner-management of the year 2010, BK Engineering also received the title as a Gazelle Company of 2010 earlier this year.
