Andreas Zourellis, Technical Lead at Aalborg CSP will be one of the key speakers at the 6th Asia-Pacific Solar Research Conference (APSRC 2019) held at the Canberra Rex Hotel in Canberra, Australia, from 3-5 December 2019.

Each year, the Asia-Pacific Solar Research Conference – organized by the Australian PV Institute (APVI) – gathers solar researchers and experts from around the world. With the theme “information, collaboration and innovation”, the conference aims to support high-quality research and development, maximizing research potential and strengthening international engagement in the solar sector. Arranged into six streams - Photovoltaic Devices, Deployment & Integration, Solar Heating and Cooling Low Carbon Living, Concentrating Solar Power, Solar Fuels & Chemistry, and Solar energy solutions for emerging economies – the conference covers multiple aspects of the solar industry.

In his speech, Andreas Zourellis will introduce the audience to the many possibilities of solar thermal energy in heating, powering and storing at different temperatures for various industrial applications.

As part of his speech, Mr. Zourellis will showcase how using solar thermal energy for industrial applications can help stabilize the power grid and benefit both industries and communities.

His presentation titled “Integrated concentrated solar energy systems: A combined heat and power solution for the industrial sector” is scheduled for day three of the conference on 5 December (Thursday), 2019.
