Miguel Herrador Moreno, Aalborg CSP’s Sales Manager in Spain, will be one of those 30 powerhouse speakers who will present at the 11th International Concentrated Solar Thermal Power Summit, the world’s largest commercial CSP summit, held in Seville from 21-22 November, 2017.
Sharing the conference agenda with global experts from the Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) industry, Miguel Herrador Moreno will introduce how, besides utility-scale power production, the concentrated solar power (CSP) technology can also be used to meet different industrial energy demands. His presentation titled “Desert Farming and District Heating With Concentrated Solar Power” will showcase two projects wherein the concentrated solar power technology is used to harvest the sun in the most efficient way to sustainably support district heating activities in Denmark and horticultural activities in Australia.
About the speaker:
Miguel Herrador Moreno is Sales Manager at Aalborg CSP, responsible for driving the company’s growth through sales activities in Spain. He is in charge of delivering Operation & Maintenance services to existing CSP power plants, as well as developing new projects in the country. Latter one includes both, the company’s power plant and industrial technologies.
With nearly 15 years of experience in R&D and commercial concentrating solar power projects, Mr Herrador Moreno has a solid background in leading cross-cultural engineering teams and is highly skilled in design, construction, testing, commissioning, and operation of CSP projects as well as conventional power plants.
Throughout his career, he has worked as project and technical manager both in Spain and in emerging markets. He was involved in the molten salt storage system project called Plataforma Solar de Almería for Ciemat (MOSA project) and in the development of the first parabolic trough plant in India. Mr Herrador Moreno used to be the technical and economical coordinator of the CTAER (Centro Tencológico Avanzado de Energías Renovables) variable geometry central receiver project proposal and he also worked as project leader of PS20 solar receiver, as well as project leader of PS10 and PS20 solar fields. He was also part of the EPC contract to design and build a CO2 demonstrator solar collector plant in PSA (Plataforma Solar de Almería).
Mr Herrador Moreno holds a masters’ degree in Mechanical Engineering.
